Hi Ladies,
If you’re interested in joining the Lakewood Computer Clubhouse Mondays are the days you’ll want to be here! I look forward to meeting you and learning about your talents and dreams. Below you will find a weekly summary of things we’ve been working on and sometimes things to come.
September 18th – First day of our 2009-2010 school year Girls’ Day Program
The Girls’ Day Summer Program is on Fridays from noon – 3pm at our Lakewood Pres. Location!
August 21st- The last day of our Girls’ Day Summer Program
August 14th-
August 7th- AVC is down today so we played in photoshop and uploaded our “stickering” to Village accounts. Today there were 8 girls present, and two mentors. July 31st- We re-shot the Caring Adults video using AVC and started Scripting on Lakewood’s Promise number two- Safe Places. July 24th- We worked on scripts to make a video for the five promises of Lakewood. We completed the scripting and shooting of Lakewood’s promise number one- Caring Adults. Unfortunately the file was corrupt and we weren’t able to use it
.
July 17th- Making banners for the Lakewood’s Promise website was fun. We made them 980X125 pixels. It was very hot outside and almost everyone was here!!! July 10th- Today we make our first video for the summer. We set up the camera, turned on the lights, and filmed the balloon action. Girls had
a choice between working witha group or working alone. They looked up how-to websites and began creating their balloon masterpieces. Miranda worked the camera and Caisey helped out. Diana, Celena, and Crystal made up an interview station and filmed other girls while interviewing them about their balloon projects. Other girls then decided to do this as well. July 3rd- We had 4 new members today and due to the holiday we had a few members who couldn’t make it. We worked on getting our newest members set up with the Village and getting their pictures taken in front of the green screen to make their press badges. We watched another 30 minute video on Teen movie making. It wasn’t as good as the first video but was interesting enough. June 26th- Today was the first day of our Girls’ Day summer program- Webmasters and Video Makers. Today we worked on photoshop to create press badges. We watched a reall cool video called Neo’s Ring. It was interesting to learn different techniqes in video production. We set up Village accounts for new members andworked on making our accounts really hip with HTML.

May 11th- Today we made a birthday card for the Lakewood Computer Clubhouses 7th Birthday. We had several girls use themselves to make letters. We took pictures and used Photoshopto make the message.
