As you are aware, we have been working on video production here at the clubhouse. On Saturday, March 13th 2010, we are taking a group of 9 clubhouse members to Seattle to learn more about the industry. This film-trip will include:
- A one hour meeting with a Casting Director/Production Person at Theatre Puget Sound. Here your child will have the opportunity to learn more about different careers in the field. There will be plenty of time for Q&A during this class.
- Next on the itinerary is a 45 minute tour at the KCTS 9 studio where we’ll have the opportunity to see, first hand, how a professional studio operates
- We will break for a sack lunch (provided by the Clubhouse) after the tour
- Before heading home we plan to visit the Pacific Science Center where we’ll learn how our eyes and brains work together to operate in a 3dimensional world and how technology is used to produce movies in 3D
The van will leave the Clubhouse at 8:45am and return by 5pm. You will need a permission slip and return it, along with a $9 admissions fee, to the Clubhouse no later than March 6th. If you’d like to send additional funds to sponsor (or partially sponsor) another child please do. Depending on availability we may be able to provide some assistance.
