Lakewood Computer Clubhouse & Robotics Center

As you are aware, we have been working on video production here at the clubhouse. On Saturday, March 13^th 2010, we are taking a group of 9 clubhouse members to Seattle to learn more about the industry. This film-trip will include:

• A one hour meeting with a Casting Director/Production Person at Theatre Puget Sound. Here your child will have the opportunity to learn more about different careers in the field. There will be plenty of time for Q&A during this class.
• Next on the itinerary is a 45 minute tour at the KCTS 9 studio where we’ll have the opportunity to see, first hand, how a professional studio operates
• We will break for a sack lunch (provided by the Clubhouse) after the tour
• Before heading home we plan to visit the Pacific Science Center where we’ll learn how our eyes and brains work together to operate in a 3dimensional world and how technology is used to produce movies in 3D

The van will leave the Clubhouse at 8:45am and return by 5pm. You will need a permission slip and return it, along with a $9 admissions fee, to the Clubhouse no later than March 6^th. If you’d like to send additional funds to sponsor (or partially sponsor) another child please do. Depending on availability we may be able to provide some assistance.
